I walked up to complete strangers and asked if they'd cook for me in their own home. Most people looked at me like I was a bit unhinged, but one person said yes, and the evening turned into something way more wholesome than I ever expected.

I'm Denny. I've been lucky enough to live in Indonesia, Korea, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands and now Norway, for studies and for work. So whenever someone asks where I'm from, I kind of freeze for a second, because honestly I'm a little mix of every place that shaped me. I think that's what made me so curious about people and the way they live.
Funny thing is, I grew up as the shy kid. Even now, I get nervous every single time I walk up to a stranger. My heart is pounding and my brain is screaming "why am I doing this?", but I do it anyway, because some of the best moments of my life started right there.
I'm also a big believer in ser·en·dip·i·tynounFinding something great when you weren't even looking for it.. Some of my favourite days started with me doing something I'd normally never do, and ended somewhere I never expected, like a stranger saying yes when I was sure they'd say no. So now I chase those moments intentionally.
And if there's one thing I've learned along the way, it's that you don't need a big adventure to find them. Sometimes it's as small as taking a different way home, or saying hi to someone you'd usually walk past. You'd be surprised where it leads.
